Description: A PSW, or Wetland Unit, is a polygon feature that identifies lands that are seasonally or permanently flooded by shallow water as well as lands where the water table is close to the surface. In either case, the presence of abundant water causes the formation of hydric soils and favours the dominance of either hydrophytic or water tolerant plants as designated through the Wetland Evaluation process. A Wetland Unit can be classified as being prodominantly a marsh, fen, swamp, or bog.
